It's Science

Today I helped a friend with some schoolwork. She has a presentation this afternoon and she had me draw this and put it on a t-shirt:

It's a course on learning, and this illustrates how our brains grow with stimulation. Those little things are called dendrites. I am definitely an advocate of continuing education and lifelong learning, so I like this illustration. But there was definitely another illustration that needed to be drawn. The "after having kids" dendrite:

Seriously, after having Preston I lost at least 60% of my brain. I would have conversations with people I knew WELL and spend the entire time wondering who they were. Then afterwards I would remember and realize that I had been talking about them in the 3rd person even though I was talking TO them. I'd totally think someone was weird if they did that. I forgot things all the time. I even went to the doctor to have my head checked. Turns out it was just plain craziness that can result from having a baby. If they weren't so cute I might consider trading them in for the missing parts of my brain.
